Christmas 2012 Wishlist

Saturday, December 01, 2012

We're now in December, yippeee! Time to bust out the Christmas album, put up the tree and get drafting up our letters to Santa in the hopes that we're not on the naughty list. Even as an adult I still think something special and magical at this time of year, with all of the excitement and general merriment what's not to love? Here's what I'm hoping to find under my tree this year.

1 & 2. Urban Decay Naked and Naked 2:
I've wanted these for ages, but for some reason have always ended up buying other makeup instead. I'd be more than happy with just the Naked palette, but seeing as this is a wishlist I'm wishing for both :)

3. Urban Decay Smoked Palette
How gorgeous does this look? I'd love the Naked palette for daytime and then this for evening looks just because of how much deeper and more intense some of the colours are. I recently bought Urban Decay 24/7 eyeshadow pencils that would be perfect bases for these colours.

4. Mac Mineralised Skinfinish
Soft and Gentle and Lightscapade both look really pretty, I'm quite undecided about which one I like the look of most. I've never owned an MSF before and want a decent higher end highlighter for every day, I think I've pretty much tried every highlighter of interest from the highstreet.

5. Mac Lipsticks.
There are so many I could list but the two I'd probably get the most wear out of are Girl About Town for when I want something bright and bold, and Snob for more of a natural low key look.

6. Real Techniques Core Collection
The expert face brush and the stippling brush are the best brushes I've ever tried. I always wanted high end brushes before these but have completely gone off the idea now, why pay £30 for a Mac brush when these do such an amazing job.

7. Lady Gaga Fame Perfume
I rarely buy fragrances for myself because there's always so much makeup I want which seems to get bought first, luckily my mum and boyfriend keep me well stocked on Christmases and birthdays. I'm sure there are a lot of people with this on their Christmas list, it sounds amazing.

8. Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish
2013 is all about great skincare, haircare and health and fitness for me. I'm all about the new start for a new year, and I think Cleanse and Polish will help me in my skincare feat

9. & 10. Barry M Nail Paints and Model's Own Nail Varnish
There are so many colours from both of these brands with new collections being released all the time, I don't think I'll ever be satisfied with just the ones I have because they always sucker me in with the new releases.

What's on your Christmas list?

  2. I still haven't tested Fame yet, but I will definitely have to give it a sniff! And I think Real Techniques brushes are better than MAC ones! My MAC blush brush sheds all the time but my Real Techniques one never does!

  10. Awesome list! The only thing I actually own you mentioned was the Naked 1 palette. I've had that thing for almost 2 years and it's my all time favorite makeup product... ever. Hahahah. Definitely worth it!

  12. Both the Naked Palette 1 and 2 look gorgeous, I would be quite undecided, although the second one seems to contain more cool shades and I prefer warm shades... MAC lipsticks are awesome but if you are looking for something a little more affordable, I would recommend Revlon lipsticks!

I just discovered your blog and absolutely love it! x

  13. You have some great holiday picks...I love the RT brushes they are amazing. I own the MAC soft & gentle and it's nice but very shimmery almost frosty. If you like a noticeable highlight you will like it...I usually only wear it for nights out. Dior Amber Diamond is a really great high end highlighter! BTW would you like to swap buttons? xo
