Most Worn Autumn/Winter Lip Products

I used to find dark lip shades quite intimidating, they just weren't colours I used to go for in the daytime. When I first got into wearing darker shades I had my moments of doubt (often in the most convenient places of course, like a busy supermarket or some other crowded public place) and wondered if I looked like a kid who'd got into their mums makeup bag. Red lipstick was always more of a night out look when I'd dare to be a bit more bold, but things have most definitely changed over the last couple of months. I've really gotten into wearing deep reds and berry shades even in the daytime and think that they actually suit me quite well, I have a few welcomed additions to my makeup collection and can't wait to pick up more of these kinds of colours! Here are a few of the lip products I've been loving the most over autumn and winter.

Kate by Rimmel: Shade 107
This is probably my most worn shade of the bunch. I love the velvety texture, how smoothly it applies and the colour is slightly berry toned which is easier to wear than a true red. This is the type of shade that would look good on any skin tone from light to dark, and the staying power is amazing. It fades evenly leaving a long lasting stain behind on the lips, so no need for constant topups throughout the day.

Revlon: Love That Red
The most amazing bright red shade; as it doesn't lean either warm or cool it would suit any skin tone. If you're looking for a true red and aren't scared of colour, this is definitely one to consider. It's creamy and applies beautifully.

Barry M Moisturising Lip Paint: Cranberry
I was eager to try these newly formulated Lip Paints when they were released last year- I can't compare to the original as I never owned one, but I do really like this. Although it's not drying on the lips I find it doesn't glide very smoothly when applied straight from the bullet, I usually apply with a lip brush.

Kate by Rimmel: Shade 19
This is a nice wearable one that I go for when I don't feel like a wearing a bright colour. It's a darker nude shade with a pinkish undertone- a nice alternative to the lighter true nude lipsticks I wore a lot over the summertime. An understated colour that goes with any makeup.

Barry M Lip Gloss Wand: Cherry Glitter
A bright red glittery lip gloss might not be suitable for every day, but there's definitely a place in my heart for this sparkly offering from Barry M. You can't really wear it on its own because it makes your lips look like they have tiny red freckles, but I rarely wear lip gloss on it's own anyway. I loved wearing this around Christmas time, especially over Barry M's Cranberry Red Lip Paint.

Extra: Nivea Lip Butter: Caramel Creme
Not pictured above but definitely worth a mention is the Nivea Lip Butter lip balm in Caramel Creme. This has been my saviour over the last few weeks and rescued me from lost of cracked lip catastrophes. It smells amazing too which is never a bad thing when it comes to lip balm!

What were your most used lip products throughout autumn and winter? Have you tried any of these?
