Top Five: Coral Products for Spring and Summer

I'm sure you're all bored of hearing about coral beauty products by now seeing as they're always all over blogs this time of year, but I just couldn't help inflicting another coral themed post on you all. I've already spoken about my top five coral lip and cheek products, but this five are my ultimate favourites, the 'creme de la creme' of my coral collection if you will. Firstly I thought I'd throw it out there that I know that most of these are probably considered as more peach than coral, and that nail varnish isn't a makeup product but I didn't think 'Top Five Peach and Coral Makeup (and a Nail Varnish)' made for a very catchy title so I hope you'll forgive me for that. Corals and peaches are some of my all time favourite colours when it comes to makeup and it's obvious why they're so well loved by us all; they look pretty without being 'in your face' like some pinks can be, and are universally flattering on just about any skin tone. As gorgeous as peach makeup looks on tanned and darker skin it also looks great on those of us with the complexion of Casper the friendly ghost. I've picked out a blush, a highlighter, a gloss, lipstick and nail varnish so I think that covers just about all bases, I'm yet to find a peach eyeshadow that I love although that might be explained by the fact I rarely deviate from my Naked2 palette. If you know of one let me know in the comments!

Possibly one of my favourite pieces of makeup ever, if you've read any of my previous posts you'll know it isn't the first time I've mentioned this beauty. I love how it gives me some colour and brightens my face without playing up to my naturally pink cheeks; the matte finish makes it perfect for a natural daytime look on it's own, or with a highlighter for some added sparkle. Next on my Mac blush wishlist is Desert Rose, although I doubt I'll find another cheek colour I like as much as Peaches.

This is a great 'handbag lip product' if that makes sense, it doesn't make too much of a statement and it will go with any other makeup you have on your face. You can apply it on the go without having to worry about a dark colour smudging everywhere; the staying power is really bad, but you can just quickly reapply throughout the day easily without it drying your lips out. I usually wear this over Revlon's Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain in Rendezvous which is a bright orange, that way when Luna wears off I'm still left with some colour underneath.

This has to be my favourite bright lipstick of the moment, if I had to pick just one lipstick for over the next few months it would probably be this. It's bright, pretty and fun- to me just looks like the perfect summer shade. The pink undertone means it's quite easy to wear, and the semi-matte finish is quite comfortable to wear without turning your lips into a dried out crusty prune (lovely imagery there for you).

This is an old favourite of mine, it's just amazingly pretty and I think I'll get more use out of it now we're in the warmer months of the year. It's really glittery so a light hand is definitely needed, but it makes a gorgeous peachy gold highlight that looks amazing just applied to the tops of the cheekbones. I reviewed Rose Gold here.

We all love the Gelly Hi-Shine Nail Paints, Papaya is one of my favourites from the collection and it's a gorgeous shade with a pretty, glossy finish. My other coral/peach favourite is Peach Melba also by Barry M, if you don't own it already you're seriously missing out! I always assumed bright orangey peach nail varnish wouldn't look nice against my cool toned skin but somehow it does seem to work.
