John Frieda Sheer Blonde 'Everlasting Blonde' Review

John Frieda Everlasting Blonde Shampoo and Conditioner*: £5.89 each from major retailers

I've tried many of Mr Frieda's products over the years, and all I can say is hi-five to him because they've never let me down. Inexpensive, easy to find but actually work; his 'fine to full volumising spray' is one of my favourites, and I often pop a tub of 'Full Repair' intense hair mask into my trolley when I'm doing the weekly shop. The latest in a long line of products that cover just about every haircare complaint imaginable, is the Everlasting Blonde range from the Sheer Blonde family of products.

Whenever I'm buying shampoo and conditioner, I do usually look at lines formulated for blonde hair. When you've committed the ultimate hair sin- bleaching- the last thing you want to be doing is whacking on a big blob of 'Head and Shoulders' or something equally as harsh onto it to dry it out further. A lot of shampoo brands out there will practically strip paint of walls given half the chance, and so if you have any compassion for your blonde hair it's probably best to be a bit more picky with what you put on it! Of the John Frieda shampoo and conditioners that I've tried these are my favourites yet, they're hydrating without weighing down the hair and clean away any trace of product or oil. I use coconut oil as a pre-wash treatment (one of the greasiest, heaviest oils out there!) and so I need a shampoo that will shift the oil without completely stripping my hair of moisture- which I find this does perfectly. As with most of their products the scent isn't particularly powerful, but rather it has a nice delicate kind of fragrance. If you're looking for a gentle, high quality everyday shampoo and conditioner for blonde hair this is definitely it.

You can find John Frieda's Everlasting Blonde Shampoo and Conditioner in most supermarkets,  as well as Superdrug and Boots (along with the rest of their huge selection of hair products- they even do hair dye!) If you're looking for a bit of inspiration for styling, or reviews of their products they also have a Youtube channel. You can also win amazing prizes on John Frieda's Facebook page, they currently have a competition running right now!
