My Favourite Barry M Nail Paints

Barry M Nail Paints- £3-£4 each from Boots and Superdrug

I have a problem... a nail polish shaped problem. And I wholeheartedly blame Barry M and his colourful little rows of square shaped bottles. Back in the day my nail polish box contained a couple of pinks, a red and a french manicure set, and I can honestly say I rarely felt the need to venture into other shades. These days I have a whole flippin' drawer dedicated to the things, and they're definitely my most loved nail brand with Essie coming in a close second (only when they're purchased from Fragrance Direct though, I don't know about you but I don't fancy forking out £8 per polish unless it's pretty darn spectacular). I love nothing more than changing up my nails with a new shade, texture or finish. Hi shine, gel effect nails? Yes please! Glitter and sparkle? Hell yeah. Matte effect? Oh, go on then. At just £3 a pop they've become a guilt free treat that I know will always cheer me up. I own quiiiiite a few of these now, and while I get my use from the majority of them there are definitely some favourites that I always end up picking out. If you're in the market for some new Barry M nail paints, perk your ears up because here are the some of the shades I think you should check out!

Peach Melba
A pretty peachy colour, you can't go wrong with a shade like this. I usually go for this on days when I don't want a massive vibrant colour leaping off my nails, because it looks pretty and polished while never looking overdone. Peachy shades like this are always popular around spring and summer time, but for me this is an old fail-safe all year round.

Berry Icecream
This used to be my very favourite nail polish, until I got my hands on Essie's 'Bond With Whomever'. As with Peach Melba it's another shade that's pretty without being too dramatic, and a change from regular old pink. I still do love this though and reach for it all the time, I love me a good lilac manicure!

Blueberry (Gelly Hi Shine Formula)
Blue polish is one that I really struggle to pull off; along with my pinkish-white skin tone it can definitely look more 'hypothermic corpse' than 'cute spring blue.' However this is one that does actually look ok against my skin tone, and is my very favourite base colour for whenever I do shabby chic floral nail art. This is from the Gelly Hi Shine collection so is super glossy and shiny, these polishes are way up there with some of my favourite formulations.

Pink Silver Glitter
This undoubtedly looks like a bit of a 'blah' colour in the bottle, and sadly I don't think I've done it much justice in the pictures either. But this is the most amazing polish, and if like me you're partial to a bit of shimmer on your nails you're in for a treat. The silvery pink colour looks really princess-y, and the sparkle is amazing. If this is one you've skimmed over in the past, I highly recommend giving it a go.

Pink Sapphire Glitter
This is such a fun shade, it's like a sparkly party popper in a nail polish bottle. I usually use this as an accent nail polish along with a plain pink or purple, but I won't deny there are occasions when I pull it out and paint all of my nails and toes with it (serious glitter fix right there). While it's not the classiest of shades, it's pretty and I love it!

    1. Peach Melba is a staple shade, I love it :) It's a shame it's a bit streaky, but a couple of coats and it's fine and the colour is well worth the effort x
