Autumnal Homeware Finds From Ebay

The change of season means a bit of an update all round; not only does fashion and makeup change but the chillier evenings mean it's nice to bring out some warm and cosy homeware pieces too. With Christmas right around the corner now isn't the right time to make any huge non-essential purchases (not for me at least!) but it doesn't take much to bring a new look and added comfort to your home to enjoy over the autumn. I've been having a peek on ebay to see what's available, here are a few of my favourite finds!

How cute are these?! I'm not usually a fan of colourful home decor and most of my house is very neutral, although I think small accents of colour like this can look really nice and bring added warmth. Because these are cushion covers rather than filled cushions they'd be easy to fold up and store away to be brought out each year too. If you had a set of Christmas themed covers you could simply change them over come December, and use plain ones throughout the rest of the year. I've seen a few different tree/ leaf design cushion covers but these ones are by far my favourites and I like how they make the room look autumnal without being too bold or OTT.

I actually own a few of these and absolutely love them, they get so much use. I have one in my bedroom which gets used instead of a duvet on hot nights over the summer, and over the top of the duvet for extra warmth on cold nights in the winter. I have one on the day bed in my office which not only looks nice, but is handy to protect the quilt cover underneath in case the dogs jump up on the bed. I also have a couple downstairs which are nice to wrap up with in the evenings while watching tv. There are loads of colours and a few different sizes available, they wash well and are amazing quality. I've had mine for over a year now and they're still soft and in perfect condition. Because the ones I have downstairs are so big I usually keep them in an ottoman/ blanket box to keep the room tidy in the daytime, but you could easily drape one over a sofa or chair with some cushions to accessorise for a more warm and cosy look.

Autumn is of course all about the candles! As well as scented jar type candles I also like using tealights, tealight holders tend to be really cute anyway and double up as little ornaments throughout the rest of the year. Copper and rose gold homeware is everywhere are the moment, and there are so many beautiful pieces on ebay. I currently have the four candle wire holder at the top of my wishlist!

Apothecary Jars
Not strictly for autumn, but obviously you can decorate them using whatever you like. Great for seasonally updating your rooms; pine cones, oranges and colourful dried leaves would look great this time of year or you could go with halloween themed sweets instead. Then once we're into December you could display things like mini baubles, candy canes or holly leaves. Pinterest has loads of good ideas, you could either keep it simple or get ambitious and turn it into a DIY craft project.

What have you bought from ebay lately?
