Kiko Milano Midnight Siren Collection

Kiko Milano Midnight Siren Collection* (limited edition) Available from kikocosmetics.com

After falling in love with Kiko's Modern Tribes collection earlier this year, I was excited to discover they'd released a new collection for the autumn and winter- Midnight Siren. Drawing inspiration from the night, the products are enriched with pearls and iridescent highlighters which represents the 'sheen of the ocean, the reflection of the moon and mystical starlight' oooh whimsical! Kiko do their collections so well and this is a stark contrast to anything else they've released this year; I love the duochrome black/navy packaging of this and the fact that it includes new formats and formulas that haven't been used elsewhere. Here are the products I've been trialling and what I thought- although have to add that this is a limited edition collection so if you do like the look of any of these products be sure to grab them while you can!

Cream Radiance Highlighter- £10.90
This isn't a cream product at all, instead it's an extremely creamy/ buttery powder. And you don't need me to tell you how beautiful this is, from the spherical packaging to the most gorgeous shimmery product inside this is definitely one of the standout products in the collection in my book. It has a fairly sparkly finish but still quite subtle, for me this would be perfect for things like parties and nights out over Christmas and the new year. I have shade 2 'Alluring Sand' which is a pretty coppery/ rose gold colour. Obviously something as subtle as a highlighter is never going to swatch well, but applied to the cheekbones it's just beautiful and catches the light just right.

Dark Tide Eyeliner- £7.90
I think these are some of the best liners I've ever tried. I'm sure you'll agree that there's nothing worse than an eyeliner that lacks in pigment and causes you to drag on your eye to get decent colour payoff, and so for this reason I tend to stick with Urban Decay liners because I know they work well. However these really are just as good, the pigment is amazing and they're so smooth to apply. They don't sting your eyes and last well with no running or fading during the day- what more could you want from a liner? The black is jet black and the purple 'Tempting Violet' is a really pretty, rich and smokey purple which would look especially nice on green eyes.

Moon Shadow Water Infused Eyeshadow- £7.90
I usually use cream eyeshadow sticks like this as handy bases/ primers to keep my powder shadows in place and make the colours more vibrant- however this is way too pretty to only use as a base. It contains lots of shimmer which looks stunning on the eye, this is in the shade 'Attractive Plum' so would be great paired up with the matching liner. I'll probably use this by applying it to the lid and then using a black powder in the crease, outer corner and under the lower lash line for a dramatic smoky eye. As with the liner the application is dreamy; highly pigmented, long lasting and despite the shimmer applies smoothly.

Matte Muse Lipstick- £6.90
I was interested to try this, I'm quite particular with my lip choices these days and rarely venture from my handful of favourites. However I've been completely won over by these liquid lipsticks, described as velvety with a 'radiant matte' finish, Embellished Peony a great easy to wear shade (and the kind of colour that would suit just about anyone). The application is quite precise and isn't smudgy or messy like I anticipated; it's definitely a liquid lipstick rather than a stain so you do have to be careful to a degree, but it's comfortable to wear and I can without doubt say that this will be an autumn/ winter favourite for me.

Shape and Shimmer Eyebrow and Highlighter Pencil- £8.90
This is actually my very favourite thing in the collection, it's is one hell of a good eyebrow pencil. Finding good brow products for light or blonde hair is extremely difficult, and so when you come across a good one you can't help but to say a little thank you to the makeup gods. Following the theme of the other products the pigment is amazing, and the shade is just spot on. It's nice and ashy which is just what you need for natural looking lighter brows, and the highlighter on the other end is so handy. Just a small dab in the inner corner of the eyes and below the brow really gives your eyes a lift.

Do any of these sound like something you'd try?
