Budget Bridesmaid Dresses: My Top Five

With the cost of weddings running into many thousands of pounds, if you're planning for your big day it's obvious that you'll be looking for places to cut costs without compromising on quality. One of the places it's easy to do this is with the bridesmaids dresses, there are so many out there these days that are absolutely gorgeous but cost a fraction of what you'd pay in a bridal shop or even in the wedding departments in shops on the highstreet. I've chosen five of my favourite bridesmaid dresses that each cost well under £100 each to show that you can still get what you're after without spending a fortune. I've shown my picks in this blush pink colour as this is what I'll be going for when I get married, but amazingly each of these comes in a massive range of shades. So even if you have a more unique or unusual colour scheme planned for your big day, you'll easily be able to find what you're after.

This is my favourite of the five. I've actually had this pinned on my Pinterest wedding board for quite some time, and plan to get this for my bridesmaids when I get married (all of them absolutely love it too which is always a bonus!) The rouching and diamante detail is just enough without it being too OTT for a bridesmaid dress, and the flowy skirt and overall fit will be really flattering for all body shapes.

I love how classy this one looks, it's quite simple but has the beautiful sheer straps and waist detail. Great for bustier bridesmaids or those not comfortable with strapless dresses; if you're on the hunt for nice bridesmaid dresses with straps this would be ideal.

This would be perfect for a whimsical themed wedding. I can imagine this style of dress looking really pretty for an outside ceremony, somewhere that has beautiful gardens with the bridesmaids holding bunches of wildflowers. If your wedding dress has lace detail then these would be a great match, and again the panel at the front means it's a bit more conservative than a strapless gown without taking away from the look of the dress.

If you're looking to keep it simple yet sophisticated, if you have quite an elaborate wedding dress choosing simpler bridesmaid dresses could be the way to go and so something like this would be a great choice. The fitted bodice and flowy skirt will look good on all body shapes too.

Finally for a dress with a more modern twist you could go with a one shoulder option. This has a really pretty rouched strap which brings a bit of interest- great if you're not looking to add lots of accessories as the dress speaks for itself.

What kind of bridesmaid dresses did you/ will you choose for your wedding?
