Make This Year All About You

Life is short. Get out there and make the most of it while you can! So many of us are good at planning for the future, and know how to make sacrifices today to have a better tomorrow. While that's great, it's important not to forget about the here and now- after all, you're living life right now. If you never fully embrace the moment, you never fully enjoy life! So seize opportunities and go at it full steam, make this year all about you and have fun in the process. Here are a few changes you could consider.

New Business
Have you got an idea floating around your head, or have you already started your own entrepreneurial business? Take a look around you and at the potential that you have where you are. It may be that you need to a new city or even a new country to get the best out of what you can offer to people. You could get an tier 1 investor visa and travel with whatever you have, make the most out of it and then come back home and settle down when you’re ready. Or you could not come back at all. The chance is there to be taken and it’s even easier for us now that we have access to something as resourceful as the internet. You can ping ideas round and see if what you have got would even work where you are going. But the only thing that will truly show you how is getting out there and doing it.

New Style
Style has changed throughout the decades massively, and there are certain things that you may not have even tried out for yourself. Maybe you’re fine with what you’re sat in and have been since you can remember; you’re not particularly known for breaking the trend or adopting one as your own, but you know that you look good anyway. Being complacent with what you’ve got isn’t being daring enough to try new things. Try something at least once, even if you know it’s going to be ridiculous - at least you’ll be able to say that you’ve done it.

New Ethos
Try and think a little differently from how you perceive life now. Take a look around some different community groups, volunteer with those who are less fortunate than you, see how people do it in other countries or cities if you can’t get that far. Consider learning about different religions, cultures, styles of life and ways of living. The more that you are open to change and keep an open mind, the more you will realise that at the end of the day, we are all human - we all come into this world the same way and we’re all going to leave the same way, too. By being to empathise with others and increasing our education through learning on the go rather than sitting in a classroom, we are empowering ourselves and others around us, too; the more that you understand them and can get onto their wavelength, the more you stand as a platform for those who may not be able to voice what they need to say.
