Nail Varnish From Poundland? 'Chit Chat' Glitters

What is it about glitter that's so incredibly appealing? Whack a layer of glitter on just about anything and you can be pretty certain that I'll buy it- I can't get enough of that sparkly goodness. I spotted these five polishes adorning the shelves of the ever-so-glamorous Poundland, and even though I've never had good experiences with cheap nail varnish they still found their way into my basket. I've been pleasantly surprised with these though, they're nothing like the watery streaky mess that a lot of polishes in this price bracket tend to be. In fact, I'd say they put the likes of much more expensive brands to shame!

I'm loving the OPI-esque bottles, had I not known these were pound polishes I'd have never guessed they were so cheap. Each polish has a mixture of fine glitter and then some bigger hexagonal pieces, aside from Copper the odd-ball which seems to be lacking in the chunky glitter department. I'm kind of obsessed with Rio, it's like a sparkly amazing glitter explosion; I've been layering it over just about every base colour I can think of and it always looks so good. It reminds me a lot of a more fun and garish version of Amythest glitter by Barry M which I also love. Pink is also a clear winner because well it's pink. And it sparkles. Need I say more?

These polishes give a nice even application with plenty of glitter particles so you're not having to do a million coats to build up the intensity, and as far as I can tell they last quite on the nails too. If I was going to be majorly picky I'd say that the names could have been a bit more creative, although I suppose when they're being sold for a pound I doubt they've got world expert nail polish namers on the team (my ideal job right there). Overall I think these are great finds, definitely worth checking them out if you get the chance.
