My New Dressing Table

I now own the dressing table of my dreams! Up until I got this I'd been using a plain wooden desk to sit and do my makeup, and as practical as it was it reallllly wasn't very pretty. I know the Ikea Malm dressing table is really popular with bloggers but I knew I wanted something a bit girlier, I'm obsessed with shabby chic style furniture and so when I spotted this it was an easy choice- ivory in a shabby chic style with gorgeous flower detailing across the sides and front. Now I just need to decide what to store my main makeup collection in, because unfortunately the drawers in this don't hold much!

On The Top
The acrylic storage holds my everyday makeup products. I got this from ebay here because it's quite small I have to consider what I'm putting in here which is perfect because I can't load it up with things I'm not using on a day to day basis. Keep an eye out for an upcoming post about what I keep in here. The first pot contains my everyday makeup brushes which are mainly by Real Techniques, and the second has my everyday hair products: two different hairbrushes, a comb, heat protectant spray and leave in conditioner. This is so handy, and saves me from digging around in a drawer to find the hair stuff I need when I've got out of the bath.

In The Drawers
The drawers are too small to store much of my main beauty stash, but they're quite handy for housing my daily products. The left drawer contains my Naked and Naked 2 palettes which I was happy about as it saves cluttering up the top of the dressing table keeping them with the rest of my everyday makeup. The middle drawer contains my everyday skincare: day cream, night cream, eye cream, toner, hand cream, makeup remover, face wipes and body butter. The left draw has cotton buds and cotton pads for removing makeup and applying toner.

Where It's From
This dressing table is from the 'Rachel' range in Very and Littlewoods and cost me £199 which I think is really reasonable for a decent piece of furniture. I'm so happy with it and am glad I bought something worthwhile with my Christmas money. I love watching dressing table/ makeup collection videos on Youtube and so really wanted the perfect piece, I'm so glad to have found it!

Where do you sit to do your makeup?
