Kate Moss by Rimmel Shade 26

Kate Moss by Rimmel lipstick (Shade 26) £5.49 from Boots

I was always a bit iffy about nude lipstick- done wrong they can definitely have a distinct 'concealer lips' appearance which lets face it, isn't flattering anyone. But over the last few weeks I've been picking up a few nude shades here and there and I have to say I really like them, I think as long as the rest of your makeup is quite heavy to balance them out it can look really nice.

I'm already a huge fan of the Kate by Rimmel lipsticks so when I spotted this one I was eager to give it a go. It's quite a warm toned nude which is a bit of a risky choice with my cool toned skin, but I've discovered that it's a nice one for when I've been fake tanning. I like the fact that it's not too light and 'concealer-y' and doesn't look like I'm wearing brown lipstick either (another risk factor when it comes to finding the perfect nude lipstick!) It's a nice mid shade that gives colour and definition to the lips while still remaining in the nude lip category.

As with all the Kate lipsticks this is creamy and applies beautifully, it's slightly less velvety in texture than the matte collection and the finish is a bit more glossy. The wear time is about average, but it's not so slippery that it's smearing all over your face within five minutes so a nice easy wearing product. I think this has taken the top spot for my favourite nude lipstick, and has pipped by current most worn nudes Mac's 'Hue' and Dainty Doll's 'Baby Love' to the post.

What do you think of nude lipstick, is it a shade you'd usually go for?
