George Gel Pro Nail Polishes Review

George Gel Pro nail polishes- £2 each available at Asda

A few weeks back I reviewed two shades from George's incredible new Gel Pro line, and I was as keen as a bean to get my hands on some of the others. They're inexpensive, opaque in one coat, they dry quickly and they're long lasting, basically everything you could ask for in a nail polish. I've tried my fair share of nail products over the years and I'm definitely particular in what I look for. I hate anything that's watery or streaky, and if it chips after ten minutes there's a good chance I'll drop to my knees shouting WHY OH WHY IS LIFE SO UNFAIR? Ok not really, but I have actually felt like this a few times- especially when waiting for my nails to dry stretches my patience as it is. Luckily these are all pretty chip proof and so there's no need for a massive dramatic meltdown. Meet my newest nail polishes, these four shades from George's Gel Pro* range!

Pink
Clearly 'Pink' got lumbered with the least creative name of the bunch, but the colour itself is really pretty. I wear shades like this all year round, they're subtle but still add a little something to the nails. This has the advantage over the other pinks I own due to the fact it's opaque in one coat and fast drying, perfect if you're in a rush and quickly need to do your nails before leaving the house. I like to give my nails a bit of a break from nail polish from time to time, so the scenario of quickly needing to paint them in the morning does crop up now and again. There have been a couple of times when I've rushed out the door and forgotten to paint them at all, which is always a bit of a bummer. I can't be doing with naked nails!

Nectarine
I seriously love this one, the colour is gorgeous and the slight peachy tone makes it more wearable than stark orange. I probably won't wear this quite as much now we're going into autumn and winter, but it will be safely stashed away until spring comes back around where it will most definitely be used and abused.

Plum
This is my favourite of the four, I can't get enough of it. Now we're on our way into autumn I've been all about this burgundy/berry shade- I love how dark and vampy it is and how it makes a huge change from the pastels I've had on my nails non- stop for the last few months. It's a bonus that these are pretty chip resistant too; usually I need to redo my nails every other day with darker shades because the tip wear is so noticeable, but these hold out for longer than your average polish.

Poppy Red
This is another good one for the autumn and winter. Does anyone else start feeling really festive when they put red on their nails? No doubt I'll be layering this up with red glitter around Christmas time for that sparkly red Christmassy goodness. I love that this is a shade deeper than a bright, pillarbox red- I always feel like a woman on a mission when I'm rocking dark lips or nails (even though I'm still just my regular, clueless self).

Have you tried these polishes yet? Which shades will you be going for?
