GlamGlow Thirsty Mud Review

Glamglow Thirsty Mud*: £49.99 available from BlowLtd

If you read beauty blogs or are just a fan of beauty in general, then you'll probably be no stranger to Glamglow. Their products have received nothing but rave reviews, and it's fair to say that they're pretty much the ultimate brand when it comes to high end face masks. I've been testing out their 'Thirsty Mud' hydrating treatment and can definitely see why the brand is so well loved, you know when you come across a product that makes a dramatic difference to your skin after every use? Well this is exactly that, it's just incredible.

Right off the bat I was impressed by this before I even opened the jar, the packaging has this beautiful metal casing that makes it feel SO luxurious. I'm rarely wowed by the packaging on things like skincare, but I absolutely love this. Inside the jar is a mildly sweet smelling mask that spreads easily over the skin, which is great as you don't need to use a lot of it (and with a price tag that's just short of £50 you can bet I'll be rationing this out!) The mask is so cooling, it feels cold and refreshing on the skin without being too tingly or too much- just the thing to perk up dull and drab skin. Thirsty Mud is designed to instantly moisturise, restore, replenish and soothe skin and I can definitely vouch for all of that- as soon as I'd washed it off it felt as though my face had practically been given a new lease of life. You can leave it on from ten minutes all the way up to a few hours- the leaflet inside suggests that it can even be used throughout entire flights or overnight. For me it's a bit too cooling to leave on overnight (especially in this weather!) but I've been applying it for around thirty minutes which has been plenty enough time for me to get amazing results.

Despite being a not so pretty brown colour in the packaging once it's applied it dries quite clear, so if you were to use it on an aeroplane you're not going to be scaring everyone with a bright green face. All in all I can't recommend this enough, it's undeniably expensive but I can totally see why because you DO get results. It contains some great high end ingredients, antioxidents and cutting edge technology so you're getting what you pay for and not simply paying for a brand name which can often be the case when it comes to beauty products. I'm going to save mine to start using in the new year when I give my skincare (and lifestyle in general!) a complete re-vamp!
