Fragrance Friday: Yves Rocher Flowerparty By Night

Notes
Bitter Almond
Star Anise (Licorice)
Bourbon Vanilla Extract

Give a perfume a cute name and put it in a cute bottle and I admit it, I'll be intrigued. Especially when it's from a gorgeous brand like Yves Rocher; they're French they're luxurious and their prices are reasonable- I don't know about you but that ticks some boxes for me right from the word go. I've tried a couple of Yves Rocher perfumes now and have been won over by the simple classiness of them, they tend to stick with a few quality notes but do them really well. Flowerparty by Night for example contains just three notes, but it's certainly not lacking in complexity-  I can't get enough of it!

Flowerparty by Night is a sweet, gourmand perfume (which in perfume language means it smells food based/ edible); the three notes are perfectly balanced to create a scent that's interesting while still being quite 'safe' and something most people would probably appreciate. Yves Rocher describes it as 'an irresistible fruity floral with signature notes of addictive flavours' and I completely agree, despite the fact there are neither fruity or floral notes here that's the overall vibe you get when you spray it. There's something extremely addictive about this, I love perfume and I own quite a few but every now and then I come across one that I can't get enough of. And this is the one that I currently can't stop spraying, maybe because it reminds me of one of my all time favourites (and guilty pleasure!) scents 'Midnight Fantasy' by Britney Spears. Don't get me wrong they're not dupes or even that similar, Flowerparty by Night isn't as sugary sweet and smells more sophisticated. But there's something about it that reminds me of it, just a more toned down version.

Overall this perfume is an excellent all- rounder, it's not in the slightest bit offensive and is neither too young or too old smelling. I feel as though it would suit just about anyone and most people would like it, you can't go wrong with a good fruity-floral can you? If I was going to be really picky I'd say that the wear time could have been a bit longer, although it's by no means a weak perfume and you do still get a good few hours wear out of it.

Does this sound like something you'd like? Have you tried any Yves Rocher perfumes?
