Cruelty Free, Mink Lashes from Esqido: Lashmopolitan

When it comes to makeup, I suppose I play it quite safe really. Neutrals and nudes are definitely my most worn shades, and despite the fact I own a rainbow of lipsticks it's almost always the natural pink and nude shades that I go for most of the time. However one part of my routine that I've always been a bit braver with is my lashes, and I've never been afraid to go for the biggest and most fluttery lashes I can possibly find. And my new pair from Esqido are exactly that- they're not for the faint of heart but if you're a fan of big lashes then you're bound to love these as much as I do!

If you're new to Esqido they're a brand that make luxury false eyelashes from genuine mink hair, and as they use the hairs that are naturally shed they're 100% cruelty free. I've previously reviewed Esqido's 'Oh So Sweet' and 'Viola Lash' styles but this time decided to go for the ultimate....Lashmopolitan. They're designed to give a winged out effect to the eye, and are made with smaller, sparser lashes towards the inner corners which give a beautiful seamless look. These are not 'everyday wear' kinda lashes by any stretch; but if you have an event, night out or something special planned when you want to achieve a super glamorous look then these are just beautiful and the perfect way to amp up your makeup.

Esqido lashes are certainly not cheap or budget lashes- but before you write them off as being out of your price range, it's worth knowing that unlike cheaper brands these can be re-used up to twenty five times. So while the upfront cost seems a little steep, they work out at just £1 per wear which is much cheaper than most highstreet eyelashes. One thing that sets these apart from other lashes for me is just how lightweight and comfortable they are, look how bold Lashmopolitan are and yet you can hardly tell you're wearing them. Most of my lashes over the years have been bulk packs from eBay, and while you can't fault the price they're almost always heavy with a stiff band that has a tendency to dig into your eye corners throughout the night...pretttty uncomfy! Esqido lashes on the other hand are made with a lightweight cotton band which blends seamlessly into your natural lashes, meaning not only do they look much better but are actually comfortable to wear too.
