Yves Rocher Wrinkles and Radiance Serum Vegetal Review

A good day and night cream is the staple of any skincare routine, even if you like to keep your routine as simple as possible these are two products that you're always going to need. I'm quite picky with my day and night creams and always make sure I choose products that are well suited to my particular needs. For me it's a day cream that's light, absorbs quickly and sits well under makeup without causing it to slide off my face- and a night cream that's rich and nourishing to the skin. I'm quite lucky with my skin most of the time, but without the right products it can become oily in the T-zone and dry on the cheeks and so the right day and night creams will balance that out as much as possible. The two that I'm currently using are from the 'Wrinkles and Radiance' kit from Yves Rocher, I'm already a huge fan of their makeup, perfumes and hair products but hadn't tried their skincare up until now! This is their latest innovation, 'Serum Vegetal'

'Wrinkles and Radiance' is an anti-aging line targeted towards nourishing and restoring the skin while smoothing lines and wrinkles. While I don't have wrinkles (and I'm not exactly sure what age people begin to get them) I'll be twenty seven on my next birthday, and so anything that promises to prevent the signs of aging is no bad thing in my book! A good quality night cream is beneficial for any age, and so even if you're a bit younger don't let the name put you off as the hydrating properties and high quality ingredients are great for prevention. As you'd expect from Yves Rocher- a brand who has their own botanical gardens in order to organically grow the plants for their products- this contains some amazing ingredients. The star of the show is mesembryanthemum crystallinum, which is a super powerful plant known as 'crystalline ice' or 'life plant.' It works by stimulating the skins proteins and reactivating the mechinisms in the skin's cells, which actively fight off wrinkles. Impressive right?!

Both products have a beautiful rich and balmy feel to them with a fresh scent, plus the packaging is second to none. Swoon worthy, high quality glass jars with sturdy lids give them that expensive feel that we all love in a nice skincare product. The only downside to the packaging is that the day and night creams look almost identical and so you can't tell the difference between them at a glance, but it's not a big deal you just need to read the front before diving inside. To top it all off this set comes with a lovely white Yves Rocher makeup bag, both of the boxed moisturisers fit perfectly inside meaning it's ideal for giving as a gift if you fancy treating someone to some luxury skincare!
