New House Homeware Wishlist

I mentioned in this post how I've recently moved house, and now most of the unpacking has been sorted I can finally get onto the fun stuff! One of the best things about moving house is that you essentially get a blank canvas that you can really adapt and make your own, and so I've of course been browsing Pinterest and searching through shops online for cute new homeware pieces. While I prefer quite simple decor (white walls and wooden floors all the way!) I love accessories and bringing in a bit of interest that way, and so having a whole new house to do up however I wanted was definitely a huge plus side to all of the stress of moving for me. While I already had most of the things I needed to do up each of the rooms, there have been a few things on my wishlist for a while which for some reason or another I never got around to buying in the old house. These are the things I've been eyeing up for my new house!

I always planned on creating a gallery wall in my old house but just never got around to doing it. We have more bedrooms where we are now, so I now have my own little office (instead of having to share with my boyfriend like before) and I have loads of ideas of how I want to make it look- a gallery wall above my desk is one of the main features I'm looking forward to working on. I have a number prints and quotes bookmarked that I plan on adding to it, and especially like the look of foil prints for accent pieces. I thought the simple gold feather on this one was so pretty!

One thing I'm lacking is cute mugs, which is quite surprising as I'm a huge fan of them. I see this beautiful gold polka dot offering from Bombay Duck regularly on Instagram and have always wanted to get my hands on one. I never used to be much of a hot drinks kind of person but have got into drinking coffee and tea much more these days, and so could really do with a few more nice mugs.

Retro Telephone Docking Station
I can't deny how ridiculously overpriced this is, but I want it so much! I first spotted this on Pinterest on the most beautifully styled bedside table, and have wanted to create something similar ever since. It's a simple white, ceramic docking station for your mobile phone but such a nice little display piece!

Cath Kidston Cushion
I don't have a whole lot of floral or patterned items in my home because while I do like them, I don't like decor that looks too fussy or overwhelming. But I am on the lookout for a couple of key pieces to bring some interest into the room and thought this would be ideal for my desk chair. The colour matches the rest of the duck egg blue pieces I have in my office and I love the print, being from Cath Kidston you know the quality is going to be good.

I think something like this would be perfect for hanging in the kitchen and writing up the week's meals in advance. I meal plan already, but having it on display in the kitchen would save me having to flip through scribbly lists in my planner and overall is just a cute and useful thing to have in a kitchen.

At £42 each I clearly don't have the kind of funds to be dotting these all over the house, but I'd love to invest in one to keep on my desk or my bedside table and savour! Diptyque are the ultimate in luxury candles, I love anything rose scented and so have my eye on the aptly named 'Roses' scent.

I have the radio on a lot so I know this would be a good buy for me. Whenever I'm cooking or cleaning or just busy in the house I put it on through an app on my phone, but it wears down the battery like crazy and so having an actual radio to put on would be much better. I've had my eye on these gorgeous retro looking Roberts Revivals for ages and think it would be perfect for the kitchen, they're DAB meaning you get great sound quality and loads of different stations. I'm torn between the pretty duck egg blue (which is a nicer colour) or the dove grey which is more neutral so will go with any decor if we happen to redecorate again further down the line. Let me know what you think!

Have you spotted any nice homeware pieces lately? Which shops do I need to check out?
