Eloping When Your Wedding Is Cancelled

If you have a wedding planned for this year, you will be fortunate if it goes ahead. Ceremonies as far away as September have already been postponed, so anything before this date is going to be on the brink. If you’ve already received the bad news, you will be in the process of reorganising your big day for next year. Although it’s a long way away, it’s your only option, right? In reality, there are plenty of options on the table, including eloping. To elope is a big decision that you shouldn’t make lightly because it involves scrapping your hard work and financial investments to opt for a small ceremony at your local town hall.

Not only is it not what you imagine your big day to be, but you can’t invite your loved ones to enjoy the occasion with you. However, the future for engaged couples is unpredictable. There’s no way to tell if a reorganised wedding will take place or what it will look like. Even if you can go to the church and your venue of choice, there may be fewer than fifty people. To some, this means eloping is worth considering since you can schedule a no-strings-attached party for when everybody is allowed to be together again. Are you torn? Can you not work out whether to elope or stick to your guns? If you are, you should use the infographic below to your advantage as it guides you through the basics. By the end, everything should be clearer.
