Is getting dressed a never ending struggle? Maybe you're uninspired by what's in your wardrobe, perhaps nothing seems to fit you right or you might have found yourself in a bit of a style rut where you reach for the same things over and over. We can all get like this at times, it's frustrating as when you don't feel like you look good on the outside it can affect your confidence and how you feel on the inside. But you might not need to splash out on a whole new wardrobe, try these tips first!
Have a sort through
First things first, sort through and organise what you have. You might uncover forgotten gems, and you will probably pull out pieces that simply have to go. If anything is in bad condition and cant be repaired, or the sizing is so far off that realistically it's not going to fit you again in the next year then consider getting rid of it. This frees up space and makes it easier to see what pieces you have that you can work with.
Try a body shaper
One of the reasons you might not be enjoying your clothes at the moment is because of the way you feel in them. Perhaps starting a health kick or taking steps to move more and exercise could solve the problem, a small shift in excess weight could have everything fitting nicely again. Another option is to try a body shaper for women. These can give a slimming effect and make you look more svelte and shapely with very little effort. If you have outfits that make you insecure of any lumps and bumps then this is an easy fix.
Choose from a standard or plus size body shaper depending on your size, either way these will improve your shape regardless of how big or small you are.
Accesorise
Finally, you can bring boring or older items to life simply by accessorising. A plain dress can easily transform with a statement necklace and brightly coloured bag. Try mixing things up and pair items that you've never previously put together because you never know- it might work! You could even try clothing hacks to wear certain items in different ways. For example, wear a long skirt as a midi dress or tuck in a jumper for a more modern look. A shaping bodysuit under certain pieces will also make them look completely different, so you might have more outfit looks in your wardrobe than you realise!
