Finding good eyebrow products when you've got blonde hair is nothing short of a nightmare. I lightened my hair over eight months ago now, and have tried countless brow products that were just plain wrong; I don't know about the good, the bad and the ugly, I've tried the the bad, the horrendous and the "oh my god what have I done to my face?!" If you have lighter hair too I'm sure you can sympathise, I've found that the majority of the eyebrow products I've tried have been way too warm or too dark despite being aimed at blondes. The last thing you want when you have blonde hair is brows that look either flaming orange or black, it's just not attractive and quite frankly it scares the kids. You've probably seen the 'celebrities without eyebrows' pictures floating around the internet, and although they're extreme examples it goes to show how important eyebrows are as part of your face. Back when I was a teenager I was paranoid that I had the hugest mono brow ever, and over about five years successfully managed to pluck my nice full brows until they looked like emaciated catarpillars. So as you can imagine I now need all the help I can get when it comes to giving them definition and shape, step in my new best friend- HD brows palette!
Inside the palette are four different brow powder shades ranging from an ash blonde to an almost black, the four colours can be easily mixed to create your own custom colour. The ash blonde shade on the bottom right is perfect for me, but I've been experimenting with mixing in the lighter and darker shades and it's really easy to create a perfect match. The pigmentation is just amazing, one little dab gives huge colour payoff and so you don't have to mess around really working at it to build it up. Just the powder without any brow set easily lasts as long as any other makeup I have on my face, so no worries about patchy brows or them fading off before the end of the day! You do get a little double ended brush in the palette but it's way too narrow in my opinion, I apply using a regular angled brush and then comb through with a spoolie to get rid of any excess product. Best of all the shades are natural looking too, so it doesn't look like you've gone in with a big old eyebrow pencil and drawn yourself a new pair of eyebrows on.
If you're currently using an eyebrow product that doesn't match or just doesn't look right (I've used eyebrow pencils before that have actually made my brows look shiny- it was as scary as it sounds) don't give up the search until you've tried this. This palette really is holy grail material and just the thing I've been lacking in my everyday makeup routine; I can see why it's such a cult product among bloggers. HD palettes come in three shades, Bomshell (light) Foxy (medium) and Vamp (dark) but I think most people could make each of them work because of the mixture of shades you get in each.
What products do you use to fill in your brows?
This looks really great on you! I'm quite lucky because my hair is almost black but that's also quite dangerous because they can stand out a little too much! Constantly trying to make sure they don't look really overdone ;') xx

I found it a lot easier to get good brow products when my hair was darker, although I agree that you do have to be a bit careful avoiding the drawn on effect lol x
DeleteSorry this isn't about the eyebrows, but your eyeliner looks really good! It looks smooth on the top which is something I find hard to do, what eyeliner do you use on the top?
