Avoid Cat Care Catastrophes!

Most people are either a cat or a dog lover, and the war will long go on about which animal is the best. But for a lot of people, it is the elegance and mystery of a cat that draws them in. They’re definitely not as needy as dogs, but when they do come for a cuddle they’ll stay on your lap for hours. This is what so many people love about them, despite them being able to get their claws out at any moment and give you a swift scratch, they’re one of the most loving animals on the planet. However despite they, they also like their own company, just like humans do. So some would say we’re purrfect for each other. However, caring for a cat can go wrong if you're not prepared, here are a few things that you need to avoid.

Indoor & Outdoor Cats
You should well know that you can keep cats as indoor or and indoor and outdoor pets if you’re thinking about getting one. But make no mistake, if you get the two mixed up you’re either going to have a very cranky and miserable cat on your hands, or you’re going to have no cat at all. It’s important that you let them stick to their domains. Just because it’s an outdoor cat, it doesn’t mean it’s going to run off. There’s obviously certain risks, but it’s all about what makes the cat happy. As for an indoor cat, letting them outside will more than likely result in the loss of a cat for you. However, you can train an indoor cat to become an outdoor one, but it will take a few weeks, and you do need to make sure that you’re doing everything right.

Health Issues
If you’ve got an outdoor cat, they’re going to spend most of their time racing around outside coming into contact with god knows what. The result of which is going to be a little illness every now and then if you aren’t protecting them right. One of the things you can do is use revolution parasite prevention & control for cats from PetBucket. Parasites are literally drawn to your cats, and your cats are most likely going to be roaming around the areas containing them. The sooner you treat it, the less likely they’re going to be subjected to serious illness from this. You also need to make sure you’re feeding them the right foods. Some cats are so intolerant to certain cat foods, it can really give them painful stomachs.

Play
Just like with dogs, it’s important that cats have a bit of play throughout the day. They need attention, and they need to keep their brains active. One way you can do this is through a cat climbing frame, or even something as simple as a ball on a string. Make sure you’re interacting with your cat so that you form some sort of bond from an early age.
