Three Reasons I Love Having Fresh Flowers In The House

Christmas Flowers from Prestige Flowers (Orion Bouquet)*

There are few things nicer than having fresh flowers in the house, and I aim to have a bunch displayed on my dining room table at all times. Usually I pick up inexpensive bunches from the supermarket when I'm doing my regular shop, but this month I have been well and truly spoiled with these beauties from Prestige Flowers. Featuring some of the most sought after blooms including carnations, lilac, trumpet calla lilies, sweet avalanche and roses- it's by far the nicest bunch I've ever had in my home, and it's fair to say I have barely taken my eyes of them since they arrived! The quality is undeniable, from the flowers themselves to the sturdy cardboard packaging they arrived in. If you're looking for a way to treat someone then this is most definitely it, as these have made me feel really special. Less expensive bouquets tend to have one or two really pretty ones but are filled out with plainer flowers, whereas this is jam packed full of the good stuff. I can't get over just how many really nice flowers are in here, which are perfectly contrasted with the stunning green foliage. Here are just a few of the reasons I love having fresh flowers in my home.

They Bring In Colour
As a self confessed neutrals lover, my home really doesn't feature much colour at all. To liven everywhere up and add colour, I love using plants and fresh flowers. The splash of colour they bring is always welcome, and they're a fun way to bring different hues into the room without committing to a particular colour. The pink and lilac tones of these blooms look absolutely stunning with my newly painted grey walls, it's fair to say I'm obsessed with the combination.

They Look Welcoming and Homely
Flowers look cheery, welcoming and homely. There's nothing better than coming home to a big bunch on display, they bring something to the room in a way that faux flowers or other kinds of decorations just can't achieve. I do display silk flowers in some of my rooms too, but they really are no substitute for the real kind.

They Make You Happy
It's well documented that flowers boost your mood. There's a good reason we give flowers to say 'get well soon' 'I love you' or 'happy birthday.' They make you feel happy and offer the perfect pick-me-up! Research has shown that having fresh flowers on display makes people feel more compassionate towards others, have less worry and anxiety, and feel less depressed. Both the scent and the appearance of flowers can give you energy. What better way to fight against the winter blues than with a stunning bunch of flowers in your home?!

Whether you're looking to treat someone, treat yourself or purchase the perfect centerpiece bouquet for your Christmas table, Prestige Flowers are definitely a site to check out.
