On your wedding day, all eyes will be on you, and so it’s natural that you’ll want to look your very best. As one of the biggest days of your life, it’s important to feel confident and beautiful Plus, you’ll want to make sure you look great in your photos so that you feel proud to look back on them in years to come. Here are some of the ways you can make sure you look your very best.

Achieve Gorgeous Glowing Skin
A good makeup artist will work to cover any imperfections, but the more flawless your ‘base’ is, the better any makeup will look. You could go to a salon and have a facial where they will diagnose your skin type. This will give you an idea about the best products to use that will work best for you. Once you have a skincare routine that works, stick to it. Try not to chop and change products too much, and definitely, don’t put anything new on your skin in the weeks leading up to your wedding day. Allergic reactions are rare, but the last thing you want is to end up with sore, inflamed skin or a rash!

Make Sure Your Hair Is Shining
Starting a good hair care routine is something that’s always beneficial, but especially when you’re getting married in the near future. Give up harmful box dyes and home bleaching kits and have your hair coloured by a professional instead. Have the ends trimmed regularly, and treat it to nourishing, hydrating products to keep it at it’s best. Deep conditioning masks and oils add an incredible shine to the hair, and if you start early it will be in beautiful condition by the time you get married,

Think About Your Shape and Ideal Weight
Lots of brides like to slim down before their big day, if you’re already at your ideal weight, then you could focus on toning up instead. Since wedding gowns often show a lot of back, shoulders and arms, these areas especially are worth focusing on. Healthy weight loss is one to two pounds a week, so if you plan on shedding quite a bit then be aware of the time frame. Starting early and doing it in a gradual and healthy way is much better than crash dieting. A good exercise plan and healthy eating is a great way to enter into married life too, especially if like many married couples you plan on having children shortly afterwards.

Visit a Dentist
If you have any dental issues that affect your confidence, getting married is a good excuse to finally have them looked at. More severe crookedness will need braces and take longer, but if your wedding isn’t for eighteen months or more you should have time to complete treatment in many cases. Minor crookedness or discolouration can be fixed with veneers which only take a couple of dentist visits. If you’re already happy with your smile, you could just opt for professional whitening.

Speak To Your Photographer
If there’s anything you’re particularly insecure about and haven’t managed to change by your wedding day, having a chat with your wedding photographers can help. A skilled professional will know how to make you look your best, but letting them know means you’re not getting photos back from angles you don’t like or scars for example that you’d rather not be in the picture. Our insecurities always feel worse to ourselves, but if there’s something you would rather not have in pictures then make sure the photographer is aware.

Spend the time leading up to your wedding focusing on yourself, treat your body well and indulge in lots of pampering. Not only will you feel fantastic on your big day, but it will boost your confidence in general too.
