Exploring London: Things to Do on Your Next Trip

London is one of the most buzzing cities in the UK with an estimated population of over 8 million people. The city could be attractive to residents and tourists for a number of reasons. For one, it’s a diverse and multi-cultural city that has been infused with a variety of foods, languages, and customs. It could also be the luxury and city life that’s appealing as well. Whatever the case, the reality is that there’s so much that you could decide to do when in London. Here are a few ideas of things to get up to on your next trip.

Tate Modern
You can’t visit London without getting a feel of the artistic side of the city. In light of this, try going to Tate Modern which is where you’ll find the UK’s most important modern art collections in addition to London’s must-see exhibitions. It may excite you to know that entry to view the collections is free, but you do typically have to pay to view the exhibitions. This should help give you insight as well as knowledge about some of the most popular artists and creatives of the past and present.

Go to the Theatre
One of the things that London is famous for is the popular West End. As soon as you arrive there, you can feel the energy of the city buzzing in the air which can be both exciting and overwhelming. In the midst of all of the chaos, you will notice that there are theatres dotted around. If you’re visiting during the Christmas period, you should look for shows in December 2018 that you can attend so that you can get the full West End experience. If you want drama, you could watch Les Misérables whereas if you want a blast from the past, perhaps watch Disney’s the Lion King. You can always buy tickets online to save yourself the hassle of long queues.

Another activity you can try next time in London is going to see the Stonehenge’s ancient stone circle which is something different from the usual tourist attractions. This historic site is over 5,000 years old and how and why it was built is still a mystery. However, it is easy to get to from London and is ideal if you want to take a day trip.

London Zoo
Animal lovers may be enthralled to know that there’s a zoo in London that you can visit. Located in the centre of Regent’s Park, it’s ideal if you want to explore alone or embark on a family day out. There are over 700 species that you could see and a range of activities. You could find yourself doing anything from watching sunbathing lemurs to coming within the whisker of a tiger.

The Shard
If you want to find yourself 95 feet above street level, why not visit the Shard when you’re around? This glass skyscraper is said to be the tallest building in Western Europe which means it will likely be a great spot for selfies. There’s also the option of fine dining and enjoying the view in the process.

During your trip to London, you should be spoilt for choice when it comes to things you can do. No matter what your interests are, there are activities that likely appeal to them if you look in the right places. The tips above should make your next trip a lot more memorable.
